IBEM (our church) will be joining other missionaries and local Dominican churches in helping a local Baptist church and school outside of Port-Au-Prince minister to the needs of their community.Pastor and Team Leader Gary Hale and a couple of men from IBEM will be travelling at the end of this week along with other missionaries and church leaders in order to minister at the church in Haiti. A warehouse has been rented near the church and a security guard has been hired in order to protect the supplies donated and brought in by the Dominican churches. Supplies such as bottled water, canned goods, soap, fuel, bandages, etc. are needed as the Haitian church begins to rebuild and reaches out to the people in the community.
This opportunity is focused on helping the local church to effectively minister to the needs of their people. As people begin to rebuild their lives, they will identify with the Haitian church as caring for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This will provide a long-term opportunity for follow-up.
If you or your church would like to partner with IBEM and other Dominican churches to help this Haitian ministry rebuild and reach out, you can donate securely through our PayPal link on our ministry website drvision.org or click Haiti Church Relief. You may also send a check to Daystar Baptist Missions. If you send a check, please mark in the memo that it is for Haitian Church Relief. One hundred percent of what is received will go directly to helping buy supplies and financially helping the Haitian church and school rebuild and minister. Pray also for Gary and the men of the church, as they travel to work in the church next week. The conditions will be very rough.
