When did you accept Christ?

Raised in a Christian home, I was privileged to be lead under the guidance of wonderful Christian parents who taught me the importance of knowing the Lord personally and serving Him. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 13, and though I was unaware of how God wanted to use my life, it was difficult for me even to consider how God could use me. Over the years, God taught me and continues to teach me how to completely be satisfied with His love for me and my love for Him, and having an intimate relationship with Him. In light of all the Lord has done for me, I am very grateful that He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it in me.

How did God lead you to missions?

Since my youth, I received Biblical training through school, college and a Christian home. Though Christian influence surrounded me, I was not active in ministry until late high school. During my senior year in college, I dedicated my life to full-time ministry, specifically in the area of missions, and began to seek the Lord for His guidance. After graduating the summer of 2005, God lead me to be a part of the summer internship program in the Dominican Republic. Here, God opened my eyes to the ministry and vision that Team DR had for the Dominican people, the country, and the world. It was through prayer and God's Word the Lord confirmed in my heart that the ministry in the Dominican was where He wanted me to serve. In 2006, my husband Chad and I were married and plan to serve the Lord in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic with Daystar Baptist Mission, Inc.
